About These Stats
These figures cover all four tiers of English professional football — the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two — for the 2026/27 season. All distances are straight-line (crow-flies) between stadiums using the Haversine formula. Real road or rail distances are typically 20–35% higher.
The most-travelled clubs tend to be those geographically isolated from the rest of their division — northern clubs in a predominantly southern league, or coastal clubs far from the midlands heartland. The shortest trips are almost always local derbies between clubs sharing a city or county.
